See Help:Quickview for help with entering information in the Quickview table. RpsL is a ribosomal gene that encodes the highly conserved rps12 protein of the ribosomal accuracy center in the Escherichia coli. Numerous mutations in the rpsL gene generate resistance to, and in some instances dependence on, high levels of streptomycin. [4]
